Yankee Model Works, 1/350 Resin Kit.
This kit depicts USS Salem CA-139 and
sisters, USS Des Moines CA134 and USS Newport News CA148, in their mid
1950s configuration. The model scale-out to 24.5 inches long. The kit
contains resin cast parts, White Metals parts, Photetched parts, and a
special set of decals that enables you to build this kit as any one of
the ships in this class. The kit also includes a plan and profile
drawing in 1/350th scale and a complete instruction booklet. This kit
was originally produced by "Classic War Ships" and is now being produced
by "Yankee Model Works". This model is
available in some local model and craft shops, or it can be ordered off
the internet.

Local Hobby Stores that stock a decent selection of Ship Models. If
your favorite hobby store does not stock it, they can order if for you.

of emails from Trident Hobbies on in January 2007. They even had some in
stock ready to ship!)
In the year 2004, Pacific Front
was selling this model kit made by "Classic War Ships
(Now Yankee Model Works)".
According to their web site (as of 1/20/07) they still offer this
model but this has not yet been confirmed. On 01/20/2007 I sent them an
email asking them to verify have that they still offer the model,
but I have not yet received a reply as of today, a week later. I am
not sure if they are still active.
