DonationShip's Plaque from the 1950s CommentsAs the Commandant's Local Representative at Port Everglades, my father (LCDR, USNR) was given a ship's plaque from the Newport News sometime in the 1950s.
I'm a USNA grad, class of '65, but have no place to display the plaque. I'm wondering if you are interested in displaying the plaque.
Thanks,
Rick Rickard

A Union Jack from the News.
circa 1971. It's edge is a bit tattered. It's a little bigger than 4' x 6'.
Comments
I wish there was a good story about how I acquired the Jack, but I don't. A quartermaster (not a signalman)let me have it, when he was assigned to have it destroyed.
